A4 suits a desk, a fridge door or a small frame. A3 works on a bedroom or office wall. A2 and A1 are statement sizes for a room you want the poster to dominate. Bigger sizes also need a sharper source photo.

Posters are printed at 300 DPI on 250 gsm matte stock, which is a heavy, non-glossy paper that holds ink well and does not curl in a frame. The digital file is exported at the same 300 DPI, so home printing looks right too.

A sharp, well-lit face — no screenshots of screenshots. Aim for 1200 px wide for A4 and A3, 2400 px for A2, and 3500 px for A1.
